Bio

Aalisha’s lifelong history in music has taken her on journeys through multifarious genres, starting with classical and jazz piano. Along the way, she taught herself guitar, bass, and started singing, immersing herself in rock. In college at WashU in St. Louis, she continued to expand her
experience in all of these genres, completing one of her Bachelor’s degrees in piano performance. Aalisha played rigorously in solo classical piano settings as well as jazz combos and jazz band, while simultaneously starting, singing, and writing songs for multiple professional rock bands. Her vast and immense experience led her to the world of film scoring, for which she pursued a Master’s degree from NYU, as it allows her to incorporate many different genres into her work.

Some of her notable achievements include winning “Best Music Score” in the MultiDimension Independent Film Festival in 2023, and a “Gold Award” from the Royal Conservatory of Music in 2015 for classical piano. Aalisha currently works as a freelance film composer and rock / classical / jazz performer in New York City.
